The Lady Broncs of Hamilton served notice they are for real as they knocked off a couple of power teams from the north on Saturday. Hamilton clipped Columbia Falls in three games. Sophomore Penny Gwynn had 11 kills and had three aces.

Darby opened their first season as a Class C school against Alberton on Friday with a win over the Panthers. Julie Abrahamsen had seven kills and Halie Rennaker had seven assists and six aces.

They then took on the powerful Drummond Trojans and gave Drummond a scare before losing game five and the match. Drummond defeated Darby, 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-8, 15-8. Julie Abrahamsen led Darby at the net and on the back row but no stats were available.
Victor dropped their first match to Lincoln, 3-0. Desiree Charlton had two kills and Mariah Caniglia had eight digs for the Lady Pirates. Seeley-Swan topped Victor on Saturday night, 3-0. Shai Scheffer had three blocks and two assists. Julia Elkinton had three aces for Victor.
