Social Media Workshop for Beginners will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and Social Media Workshop for Intermediates will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. The workshops are free to Chamber members and $10 for non-members.
Social media marketing is the up-to-the-minute way to spread the word about your business. Any small business can benefit from having a Facebook page. In these classes you will learn practical steps to utilize social media tools to reach new customers or donors. Hands-on information will be shared to help your business or organization thrive in the age of social media. Simply, social media can transform your business or organization, it it is used correctly.
To reach your customers, you need to be hooked into social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You already know how important Social Media is so the workshops will focus on how to use it to empower your business or organization. When you leave either of these workshops you will have a working knowledge of how to manage several kinds of Social Media.
You need to know more than just how to create these social media pages and how to link them into your website and leverage them to get the most ‘free’ exposure on as many social media sites as possible. Each of these two hour classes will explain the theory of social media integration, show you how to drive traffic to your website and form an online social media network.
The Intermediate class requires you to have a basic understanding of YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and you must have an account already created for each of these sites. Bring your questions, open your minds, and come ready to learn and apply these tools to grow your business. The presenter is MikeLake, Creative Services Manager for the Missoulian. Mike is an expert in digital and social media. Seating is limited, and participants may bring laptops. Reservations are required by calling the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce, 363-2400,
