Quilt Show

July 14 @ 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Free

The Sapphire Quilt Club is sponsoring a Quilt Show on Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14 at Stevensville High School, 300 Park Street.

The theme of the show is “Everything Old is New Again.” The club has several raffles, including two quilts, one modern and one older pattern, to carry on the theme. The purpose of the club is philanthropy and education. Its “Sunshine Quilt” project is the club’s main project. Members create and give away quilts to people in the Bitterroot valley who have a personal tragedy such as illness, accident, fire, etc. The Sapphire Quilters want people to know that they care about them.

The Featured Quilter is Marilyn Stromberg who has served as the club secretary this past year. Marilyn is a long arm quilter and enjoys her craft very much. She will have a special display of her work at the show.

There will also be a special exhibit of quilts created by member, Pat Richie, after the 2000 fires in the Bitterroot valley. They are unique and beautiful. They were created to honor all the firefighters who helped during that time. And Pat will be available to tell the story.

There will also be many vendors and door prizes. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Come by and have fun looking at all the quilts and maybe you’ll even win a door prize!
