Internet Protocol for Kids

January 17, 2019 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Free

The North Valley Public Library is offering a three-part series for kids and teens, ages 8 and up, to learn Internet Smart, Internet Alert, Internet Strong and Internet Kind. It is vital that children learn safe internet surfing practices, know what a digital footprint is, and what it means to be a good digital citizen. This series covers respecting privacy, and asking for help with tricky situations from a parent or other trusted adult. Kids need to think critically and evaluate websites, email, and other content online, protecting themselves from online threats, including bullying and scams, and get smart about sharing: what, when, how, and with whom. The program is in the Library’s Community Room on Mondays, January 7, 14, & 28 at 4 p.m. Registration required due to limited space. Reserve your space now by phoning the library at 777-5061. The library is located at 208 Main Street, Stevensville.
